FluidTech, founded in 1972 and located in Lenexa, Kansas, is
a distributor and manufacturer representative of precision
mobile hydraulic components in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska,
Western Iowa and Eastern Colorado. Its wholly-owned subsidiary,
MachV, Inc., manufactures aluminum manifolds for use in mobile
hydraulic applications.
FluidTech’s sole location is its headquarters site and it
employs 39 people.
Al Havlin, President
From 1971 to 1978 Mr. Havlin was based in Dallas, Texas where he
was employed by Fluid Power Systems as an outside sales person.
In 1978, Mr. Havlin moved to Kansas City where he became a
partner in a hydraulic distributorship - FluidTech, Inc. Since
assuming full ownership in 1990, FluidTech’s annual sales have
increased from $400,000 to over $15 million. With a focus on
innovation, the overall operation has continued to improve in
quality, efficiency, and customer service.
Mr. Havlin received his degree in fluid power from the Kenosha
Technical Institute in 1966.
