Hydro Air LLC is the largest distributor of hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems in the Northeast. Today, the company's seventy Employees serve customers in eleven states, from Maryland to Maine, out of four divisions: the Mid Atlantic Division in Pennsylvania, the Metro Division in New Jersey, the New England Division in Connecticut, and the Lincoln Controls Division in Rhode Island. Ronald Gaudet founded Hydro Air in Connecticut in 1964. During his tenure, he expanded throughout the Northeast, opening separate companies in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In 1996, Frank Matthews, a long-time employee, purchased Hydro Air. From 1996 until retiring in 2001, he managed the Company and served as President, continuing the high standards that the Company was founded on. In 2001, the Lincoln Controls Company became the Lincoln Controls Division of Hydro Air LLC. This further expanded Hydro Air's area and ability to serve its customers. Hydro Air was begun with a philosophy of hiring, and then strategically locating, only degreed engineers as salespeople. Honoring that charter philosophy will allow the Company to continue to provide the highest level of application, design and engineering service. Incorporating other disciplines into our sales force today will allow the Company to best meet customer needs by providing the most appropriate, most economical and most efficient service.
